A Strong New Voice for YOU in Albany BY LIAM McLAUGHLIN

McLaughlin_Liam headshot The New York State is in crisis! Taxes and unemployment are soaring, businesses that are providing vital jobs are fleeing to other states, and families are moving out of our district because they can no longer afford to live here. Albany's solution to these problems has been to do one thing…RAISE YOUR TAXES. In times like these, we need elected officials who can watch state spending DOLLAR BY DOLLAR to ensure that our tax dollars are spent wisely. Albany needs fiscally responsible leadership, which is why I'm running for the State Senate

Incumbent Senator Andrea Stewart-Cousins has shown no leadership, and worst of all, she has shown she's not hearing the voices of taxpayers. Albany is helplessly lost and she has shown the voters of the 35th District that she can't be part of the solution when she's part of the problem. Sen. Stewart-Cousins and her fellow entrenched politicians are the reasons why our state is in the fiscal calamity that we find ourselves in today.

I have lived in Westchester County almost my entire life and reside in Yonkers with my wife Debbie and our son Ryan Patrick. The 35th Senatorial district is more than just a district, it's my home. For too long, we have not had a strong voice for the people of our district and the time has come for us to finally have one. For more than ten years, I had the honor to serve on the Yonkers City Council. I saw firsthand the issues that affect us all. The state government and the ineffective leadership in Albany have failed to serve the taxpayers they were elected to represent. I want to change that. It's time to stop reckless decision making in Albany. It's time for your voices to be heard.

As a CPA and an attorney, I can tell you we need to carefully scrutinize state legislation and strive towards real tax reform. I know how hard it is to make a dollar and how easy it is for government to spend it. When elected, I will say no to arrogant and unaccountable government and politics as usual. It's time to remove these failed politicians and elect people who understand that high taxes and big government are the problem, not the solution. Albany needs new leadership now!

If you elect me to office, I will bring a strong, new voice for taxpayers in Albany, work to restore the Star Property Tax Relief, correct unfair education funding, find new and creative ways to promote economic development, and bring common-sense tax reform to the people of New York.

It's time to take action to remove these failed incumbents from office. Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. It's time we end this insanity by bringing in new leadership that will actually watch government spending DOLLAR BY DOLLAR. We need to take our government back and with your help we can do it together and remake New York into the Empire State where people will be proud to come and live, work and raise a family.

Liam McLaughlin is the Republican endorsed candidate vying to represent the constituents comprising the 35th Senate District. For further information, visit http://www.mclaughlinforsenate.com

Voter apathy is the only reason Liam kept winning -if you may cite several accomplishments Liam accomplished for the 4th District-raised taxes, let the 4th District go to hell, never seen him and finally a nasty and rude person. People like you are the reason Yonkers is a shit hole now.

  2. Cedar Knoller

Big Picture…let’s say Liam is a terrible senator, you can tolerate it for two years to prevent the ENTIRE senate from redistricting. The stakes are HUGE this year.
Even if they both suck, if the dems take the senate, it’s really over for this state.

  3. Ramy

$tewart Cousins thinks showing up to events during a campaign year will make up for going on vacation during the budget process… what a joke. Stick a fork in her, she’s done.

  4. Mark my words

Sounds like a few Andrea $tewart-Cousins groupies to me. Nothing to worry about… McLaughlin wins this race with 57% of the vote

  5. McLaughlin for Senate!!!!

The residents of the 4th district seem to have been happy with McLaughlin having elected, re-elected & re-elected him.
McLaughlin will be a great Senator! I look forward to voting for him, as do all of my friends & family.

  6. Tired of it All

    Hey Big Lou….
Liam may be a good guy but he was a lousy Councilman..and he would make an even worse Senator!

  7. Liam the Liar

This idiot actually has arrived to the point where he believes his own lies.
He is the very definition of disfunction in government and politics. He can’t see it.
He was part of the trio of Spencer and Kathy Spring who DOUBLED our real estate taxes during his ten years on the council. He won’t see it.
His financial existence and income has depended on his and his wife’s political and patronage jobs, and perks like cell phones and big cars that they use at taxpayer expense and wouldn’t otherwise afford. He will deny it.
He’s made a career of lying to the public and now he believes his own lies. Strange man from a family with a violent criminal cloud over it.
Yeah sure, he’s got my vote. Hold your nose, folks, and vote for the other candidate. At least she’s truthful and has some class, even though she may not have the 100% right political philosophy

Liam you neglected the 4th District for nine plus years-so now go take a hike-you are nothing more than a rude nasty piece of garbage.

  9. Bye, Bye Kathy

Kathy Spring is this nucklehead’s main advisor.
She’s the gal that broke up Spencer’s marriage while she was his chief of STAFF.
She fashions herself as a political genius, rather than the haggard hack that she is.
She was the architect of the John Spender administration which gave the City away to the unions and spent money that it didn’t have. She created the mess we are in today.
Ends up, as rumor has it, that she and Johhny can’t even pay their own personal bills.
This is the best she can do. Pitiful.

  10. Tired of it All

    Well said…
This guy is just about the only candidate the republicans could have nominated who is less qualified than Couzens.
He’s got nerve though…you have to give him that.

  11. another member of the political HACK CLUB

Are you going to find your guru, Johnny boy $pender a job? Maybe the two of you can do to New York state what you did to Yonkers…finish it off.

    LIAM…ARE YOU F**KING KIDDING ME???
YOU COULDN’T TAKE CARE OF THE 4TH DISTRICT IN YONKERS AND NOW YOUR TELLING US YOU CAN HANDLE THE 35TH DISTRICT IN THE SENATE..ARE YOU REALLY SERIOUS???
I WOULD LOVE TO KNOW WHO IS ATTEMPTING TO ADVISE YOU!!!!
YOU ABSOLUTELY HAVE NO CHANCE OF WINNING OR EVEN COMING CLOSE.
I WONDER WHAT CROSSES THE MIND OF PEOPLE LIKE YOU, AMICONE,AND MURTAGH TO EVEN CONSIDER RUNNING FOR SENATE.
DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND MOVE OUT OF THE 4TH DISTRICT!!!!
