Dan Schorr, Esq.

YONKERS, NY — November 15, 2017 — While a Democrat successor to New York State Senator George Latimer, the Westchester County Executive-elect, is far from decided. Even so, the dramatic posturing and jockeying for position is in play. Dan Schorr, a Harvard Law School graduate with an enviable pedigree through marriage, may conceivably resuscitate his political prospects. It seems the Westchester County Republican Committee has coalesced their prowess, such as it is, behind Dan Schorr. Official notice has not been made.

Dan Schorr, Esq., may be remembered for standing for the Office of Westchester County District Attorney in 2009 when he focused his effort to eclipse Janet DiFiore for Westchester County District Attorney. His effort was eclipsed. He would eventually become Yonkers Inspector General at the behest of former Mayor Phil Amicone. He presided over the Office of Inspector General in a non-transparent fashion. His political engagement meandered for many years. He had a stint as a hyperlocal political commentator.  Dan Schorr is a Managing Director in Kroll’s Investigations and Disputes practice, based in the New York office.

Democrats have been quick to throw their hats into the political maelstrom. There are many on the mix at present: Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano, NYS Assemblymember Shelley Mayor, former Yonkers City Council President Chuck Lesnick, New Rochelle Mayor Noam Bramson, among a hodgepodge of those still in contemplation of their prospects.

We will flesh out the back-room “dealers and wheelers” by next week, if not sooner. one thing can be stated presently, that is, it is all about them and has nothing to do with serving the Public Interest.

Yonkers Assemblywoman Shelley Mayer is in the race and has to be considered the leader.
Kat Bretzler is a strong contender on the Democratic side.
Bedford’s supervisor, Chris Burdick, has said he’ll try to get the Dem nomination.
Spano isn’t likely to get the nomination – he’s seen as an unreliable turncoat and a potential IDC member.

Schorr’s multiple failures to do his job should be disqualifying…but they’re not. After all, the Republicans supported Astorino and still are sticking with Trump, even though his tax plan will kill Westchester.

I will support Dan schorr for the State senate seat then because for the republicans will win this seat very easily in both the special election and the general election in 2018.

  4. Obsessive

What is your obsession with MPac and John. Your obsession is not normal. Get some rest. You sound like a Disgruntle ex girlfriend. I am sure there is a medical term for your systems. Perhaps John can refer you to Dr. Rabadi I’m sure he can prescribed something for you mental disorder.

  5. So Sick of Chuck Lesnick

Chuck needs his head examined. It is never enough for him. He is a shameless political whore who pushes himself onto everyone, gets in every photo op and runs for every seat. Sit down, Chuck, spend some time at home, keep collecting your check from the Governor’s office, get a life and support your friend, Shelley.

  6. Who is going to Mayor then??

I hope we won’t end up with a moron like Steve Levy or Jim Cavanaugh or even worse an incompetent guy like Tom Meier.

At present it is still in flux. It is no, no, and maybe, but not probable. Will reveal within two weeks’ time. Hang in there. Promises are being contemplated, assurances must be signed in blood or treasure will be extinguished and absolutely no option to escape or retreat from backing out once concluded. Yonkers is being betrothed without her having a say. At issue now is to whom. YT will reveal it all when we are certain all aspects of this complicated, but still discernible plan is in play. Our telling will have the prospect of a blockbuster movie. stay tuned.

Hezi, keep your eyes and ears open! There is A LOT of conjecture and planning in the span clan world. Mayor Mikey (and the rest of them) needs a job soon , so where to ? Latimer’s spot? Working for Latimer? Stay as mayor? Its soooooo fun to watch these lifelong no-other-talent political prostitutes sweat it out ! Grab the popcorn and sit back, they will start eating their own VERY soon.

  7. Another Rethread in the Wall

Oh No he’s back. ANOTHER RETHREAD. Love the list of contenders Hezi. I won’t be voting for any one of them.
It’s a pet peeve of mine that any sitting politician, if running for election and will have to give up his seat, S/he should have to give it up once their candacy is announced. This would be cheaper for the taxpayer, plus if they loose we can say bye bye. It’ too cozy an arrangement the way it is right now.
