THE BRONX and WESTCHESTER COUNTY, NY — January 27, 2018 —
Representative Eliot L. Engel, Ranking Member of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, today made the following statement marking International Holocaust Remembrance Day.

On International Holocaust Remembrance Day, we solemnly remember the victims of the Holocaust, the worst tragedy of the 20th century. A genocide against the Jewish people and a crime against humanity, the Holocaust reminds us to continue to fight senseless hatred, anti-Semitism, and bigotry, whether at home or abroad.

I applaud all countries and institutions commemorating the victims of the Holocaust and setting aside a day to remember—and never forget.”
