PELHAM, NY — February 23, 2018 — Memorable words from the 1932 classic “As Time Goes By” ….a kiss is just a kiss. But not always. In the case of the new restaurant Baci, a kiss can be ever so much more. It can be an elegant dining room infused with cosmopolitan atmosphere; it can be not just a premiere Italian restaurant but one catering to an urbane palate serving sushi and Mediterranean favorites. It can be a sophisticated bar where one can experience delightful signature cocktails that have the ability to amuse and surprise. Ah yes, Baci…kisses that drift from this restaurant based in Pelham, NY, to all of Southern Westchester and its lucky inhabitants.
I had the good fortune to experience Baci for myself on a quite perfect occasion – Valentine’s Day – and its romantic setting was just what my husband and I were seeking! The room was decorated with large red valentine-shaped balloons, and tiny glass hearts adorned each pristine white tablecloth. Baci can accommodate more than 100 yet the feeling here is intimate. The ambiance is warm and happy, fitting because once you taste Baci’s offerings, like Pharrell Williams’ song, you’re happy! I suggest you try the Burrata, an appetizer of Italian buffalo milk cheese made from mozzarella and cream; my entrée was Chicken Pastore – topped with prosciutto and more cheese. Yeah, I love cheese. Your choices at Baci are plentiful, imaginative, and ultimately rewarding.
A gem in the crown of Southern Westchester dining options, the success of this newest addition is, well, sealed with a kiss. Baci!
