DUTCHESS, PUTNAM, and WESTCHESTER COUNTIES — May 15, 2018 — The Kesten campaign for State Senate in District 40 continues to move forward, recently adding the endorsement of Indivisible Pawling. This brings overall endorsements to 25, a combination of nearly every District 40 local Democratic Committee and activist group.
“Our campaign is the coming together of the people of this district; activists, mainstream Democrats, Independents and a number of Republicans that are unhappy with the positions of their representatives.” said Kesten. “Our supporters are the people of District 40 and, therefore, our only responsibility and loyalty is to them. We don’t have the support of big money, lobbyists, or power brokers like our opponents and thus we can remain true to our progressive beliefs.”
Over the next week, the campaign will be preparing thousands of volunteers for the start of petitioning, which begins on June 5th.
“As we move forward we will continue to stand for working people who, like me, are not part of the establishment and want real change in Albany. I am part of the very people who got us this far. This is our advantage over the professional politicians.”
To keep the momentum going, Robert will meet this week with the Westchester Young Democrats and is holding a musical fundraiser this Saturday in Lake Katonah (for information please visit www.electkesten.com).
