YONKERS, NY — August 12,  2018 — Raymond Tabano and his band the 3rd Step pay homage to the music of the sixties on Saturday, September 1st at 8 PM – 11 PM at Barney McNabbs, 600 Tuckahoe Rd in Yonkers NY. The Tribute show will highlight music from the Beatles, Kinks, The Who, The Stones, The Animals, Van Morrison and Raymond may even slip in an Aerosmith song or two.

Yonkers first got a taste of the “British Invasion” back in the mid sixties at the famous Yonkers House of Liverpool. Thanks to Beatles promoter (ABKCO records) and a Yonkers native, Pete Bennett. Pete was booking the British acts of the day like the Animals, Peter and Gordon, and so many others at his House Of Liverpool on South Broadway in Yonkers. Pete also retained local bands to open shows for the featured acts. On May 9, 1966, The Strangeurs, featuring a teen-age lead singer Steven Tallarico (Steven Tyler) opened for The Animals and then on another occasion Raymond Tabano also a future Aerosmith band member played there with his band the Dantes and won a battle of the bands contest.

If you love the music of the “British Invasion” don’t miss this show. Admission is only $10 for a great night of music and nostalgia.
