Brodsky_Richard  White Plains, NY — April 2, 2010 — In a groundbreaking change, the Affiliated Police Association of Westchester announced its' early and strong endorsement of Richard Brodsky on April 1, 2010 in the upcoming campaign for New York State Attorney General.  The APAW is a group of over 50 police benevolent associations (PBA's) representing thousands of police officers.

The Association, in announcing its' endorsement said, “Richard has an outstanding record of support for police officers and law enforcement.  He has been a friend and an ally in the Legislature and in the community.  More importantly for the people of the state, he has a clear vision of how to move forward, how to change and reform our government, and how to protect the average citizen.  He will be a great Attorney General, good for law enforcement and good for all the people of the state.”

In response to the news of the endorsement, Brodsky said, "I'm proud and honored to receive this endorsement so early in the race.  The people of the law enforcement community represent the best of our State.  Their service to our communities is unique and essential.  I look forward to working with them as Attorney General in our mutual efforts to protect every New Yorker.  I'm particularly grateful for their recognition of my reform efforts, which will continue and expand as Attorney General.”

Richard Brodsky currently serves as a member of the New York State Assembly representing the 92nd District.  He has had the honor of working with the APAW and law enforcement around the state on various initiatives to help keep New Yorkers safe and secure.

  1. this is not going to be the next attorney
general..he is an incumbant albany lawmaker
and most people will be voting against
    incumbants this year…furthermore his
brash style has not endeared him to his
own party leaders..he has very little ability to appeal to anyone other than
his own constituents and even that is
marginal this year since his tax and spend
record a a liberal democratic assemblyman
is well known..its time for brodsky to
hang up his spurrs..we needed younger less
ideological people with far more law enforcement experience to run for ag

  2. Isn’t this the guy who got nailed for having an illegal apartment in his house in Greenburgh for years.
And wasn’t there something about him harrasing the lady tenant who lived in the apartment.
Now, this accused lawbreaker wants to be the highest law enforcement officer in the State.?????
Might as well have Shelly Silver take over as A.G. while he is still Asssembly Speaker, since Brodsky has gotten very used to taking his orders from Shelly – probably wouldn’t know what to do if Silver didn’t tell him to do it.
Imagine how many matters regarding the corruption in Albany will be swept under the rug, such as the allegation of a certain Yonkers assemblyman’s staffer padding the payroll, which never saw the light of day.
To top it off, this fella is now best pals with Nicky & Mikey Spano and the whole Spano clan. Imagine those folks having another palsy walsy guy in law enforcement.
Finally, he’s an arrogant nasty Albany insider who should be booted out not promoted.
It figures that the cops would be dumb enough to push him for this job.

  5. Another one who has been around too long. Talks a great game but achieves little, just like all politicians. It’s time to get rid of them all.
Will he be giving up us seat? If not don’t bother running.
