YONKERS, NY, August 5, 2010 — On 08-04-10 at approximately 5:16 p.m., 3rd Precinct Police Officers Robert McLaughlin, Peter Schwartz, and Jaime Molina responded to a robbery in progress in the rear of 80 Riverdale Avenue. The officers were advised that two suspects fled the scene carrying the victims clothing (jean pants). En route to the location, the officers observed two suspects fleeing the scene, and they subsequently stopped one of the males (later identified as Isiah Styles). Detective Christian Koch stopped the second male suspect (later identified as Tyquane Graves). A 42 year old male city resident related that in the area of St. Mary’s Street he observed the two suspects behind him. The suspects told the victim that they were going to assault him and remove his possessions. The victim was then punched about his face and body, and the suspects removed the victim’s pants, which contained a bank card and identifications. The victim’s property was recovered by the officers and turned back over to him. The suspects were subsequently transported to the City Jail and they will be arraigned in Yonkers Criminal Court on 08-05-10.
Isiah Styles, a 19 year old black male who reports residing at 1 Hudson Street, was booked for Robbery 2nd degree.
Tyquane Graves, a 20 year old black male who reports residing at 154 Morningside Place (Apt #2), was booked for Robbery 2nd degree.
