Yonkers, NY, October24, 2010 — On 10/17/10 at approximately 3:17 p.m., 3rd Precinct Police Officers Paul Api and Myron Kosiv were on patrol when they observed a 2012 Mazda occupied by four people pass a steady red light at the intersection of South Broadway and Valentine Lane. The driver of the vehicle (later identified as Sidonia Findley) was also not wearing her seat belt. The officers conducted a traffic stop on the suspect vehicle. Before exiting their vehicle, the officers ran the license plate of the stopped vehicle and it was determined that the owner of the vehicle had an active warrant out of Rome, New York. The officers requested additional units to respond and the occupants of the vehicle were removed from the vehicle after additional officers arrived at the scene. One of the occupants (later identified as Dwayne A. Pennant) had an active narcotics warrant out of Hudson City, New York. An officer recovered three ounces of cocaine (approximate street value of $6,000.00) from inside of the vehicle.
