Westchester County Conservative Party_logo White Plains, NY — Registered Conservative District Leader Harry Spreckman, husband to Westchester County Board Legislator Bernice Spreckman (R), is being pressured to vote the 13 1/2 weighted votes he controls during the reorganization meeting of the Westchester County Conservative Committee by the good offices of Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino’s Chief of Staff George Oros, from his past support of the Conservative Party Chairwoman Gail Burns to her opposition, led by Hugh Fox, Jr. To ease the verbal arm twisting, Mr Oros has offered Harry and Bernice’s son a higher paying position than the one he presently enjoys in the employ of Westchester County government. Proving once again that family and money matters when the agenda is nothing more than patronage.

Yonkers Tribune has gleaned that there may be an upset of present fortune at the initial ballot during Wednesday evening's proceedings. At issue now is how many arms were twisted, how many jobs offered, and how much will this cost the taxpayer?

As the demise of Gail Burns comes to be tabulated, Hugh Fox, Jr. will don Brutus' toga.

Perhaps all roads do lead to Rome.

Will Ms Burns pull a rabbit out of a hat or are congratulations heard among insiders for Mr Fox Jr.'s successful effort?

  1. Other than sponsoring a senior dance Mrs Spreckman does absolutely nothing for her 14th District other than to drain the County coffers with her salary.

  2. NOT SO FAST, YONKERS HAD ITS REORG MTG AND FOLERTS GARNERED 76% OF THE VOTE. WHAT FOX DID TONIGHT WAS ILLEGAL – HOW CAN THE GIVE TO RUSTIANO EWHEN SHE ONLY HAD 300 VOTES TO FOLKERTS 2600. YOU CAN NO DO THAT AND THE COURT WILL NOT ALLOW NONSENSE LIKE THAT. VINNI RUSYIANO SHLD BE ASHAMED OF HERSELF. SEE YA IN COURT

  3. OK. At the meeting, Fox won. Gail resigned and called for unity, as did Chairman Fox. Vinnie replaced Folkerts as Yonkers leader, and Sal replaced Branca as Rye leader. Other than that, the leaders pretty much remained the same.
Now we’ll see if the group will finally work together and stop fighting every year. One can only hope.

  4. Hey Hezi, gues you didn’t hear how Nick was working the phones over the weekend. The calls were something like…..you better give me your proxy or you won’t get anymore over-time, when my brother is mayor, you’ll lose your job….Bye, bye Nicky. Back to the coal and ice truck for you and your family till you end up in Leavenworth!

  5. Fox is no spano guy.
He will bring the party back to the principles it stands for. He will not endorse and andy spano or a spano of any kind.
If he does, the same people who put him in will take him out!

  6. hugh fox the conserv leader? the same hugh fox who is buddies with mick spano for decades? same guy who worked for himalso? hmmmn nick spano wins again amazing really amazing

  7. I agree. And replacing Gail with Hugh means nothing. It’s just trading back to the days when the republicats got all the conservative endorsements.
Meet the new boss, folks. Same as the old boss.

  8. There is no such a thing as the conservative party. They don’t exist. They don’t run candidates. So move on losers. As for Spreckman and co. it’s time to have term limits at county level, and a retirement age of 65 like everybody else.
