CELENTE_Gerald KINGSTON, NY — August 2, 1022 — After reading the newly-released Summer Trends Journal, no responsible journalist will be able, in good conscience, to paint Gerald Celente again as a purveyor of “Pessimism Porn,” a “gloom and doomer,” or an “alarmist.” (click to access)

Celente will continue to make clear that “Happy Days” will not soon be here again. He will continue to explain that, budget deal notwithstanding, no future Fed quick fixes or DC schemes can reverse the “Greatest Depression”-bound economy. No bipartisan miracle will eliminate the budget or trade deficit, restore the dollar to its former glory, or bring back jobs lost to China, India, Mexico, etc.

Europe’s financial crisis is equally critical. And the EU, IMF and ECB rescue policies will prove as ineffective as America’s. Those warnings are not “alarmism” or “pessimism” – they are just a matter of drawing logical conclusions from hard facts and incontrovertible data.

Nevertheless, even with a major economic collapse ahead of us, Celente is convinced there is a basis for expecting positive global outcomes in the long-term. The potential “Game Changer” lies in a widespread recognition that the Industrial Revolution mindset and policies will not, and cannot, work in a 21st century world.

“It’s not just Model T economics that’s outmoded, so are our approaches to education, healthcare, politics and, yes, the military,” says Celente. “The old adage ‘Generals fight the last war’ is as valid as ever. While the technology may have changed, the mindset hasn’t. The conviction that brute force can prevail in an occupied country defended by guerilla combatants has proven a multi-trillion dollar, decade-long failure. Yet even as old wars drag on with no victory in sight, new wars are started … such as ‘Operation Odyssey Dawn’ launched against Libya five months ago, a ‘kinetic military action’ that was supposed to end in ‘day’s, not weeks.’ ”

Celente Solution: Direct Democracy “The government/political ‘system’ in place in America, and throughout much of the world, is obsolete and irreparable. The inept generals masterminding lost-cause wars are mirrored by warring senators and representatives in Congress. Anyone who watched weeks of the Washington Wrestling Federation’s (WWF) Reality Show, ‘Beltway Battle Over the Budget,’ and still trusts the judgment of politicians, is either delusional or ideologically trapped,” says Celente.

Yet, it is an undeniable fact that 535 elected members of Congress, despite their incompetence, pass laws that control the lives of over 300,000,000 citizens. “The problem isn’t just in the numbers,” says Celente, “it’s that the ‘Gang of 535’ represents lobbyists and campaign contributors, not the constituents they claim to represent. ‘Representative Democracy’ is a cruel sham; it’s neither ‘representative’ nor ‘democratic,’ and people are getting wise to it. Polls show that only 17 percent of likely US voters say the country is heading in the right direction, while 46 percent believe most members of Congress are corrupt.

“In those beliefs rest the possibility for change, real change, not Obama-change. As Victor Hugo put it, ‘There is one thing stronger than all the armies in the world, and that is an idea whose time has come.’ I believe that ‘idea’ is Direct Democracy, and I believe that the time has come for the entire world to wrest power from the hands of ruling political mobs and put it into the hands of the public. ‘Let the people vote!’ ”

Can Direct Democracy really work? It does in Switzerland! But is it a viable, realistic substitute for the many representative democracies, which, in practice, are not democratic at all? Or would it lead to mob rule?

Can Direct Democracy really be “The Global Game Changer”? 1. The leftist Obamaists have kicked the debt can down the road and now the can is kicking back. The Tea Party wanted four trillion in cuts over ten years and they were forced by the leftist to make only two trillion in cuts creating the S&P downgrade and what is more serious a ‘negative outlook’.The only good Democrat is a defeated Democrat.

  2. Its 11:12 Am do you know where your money is?Unemployment in the Bronx twelve percent and those people in the Bronx make up a great part of the customer base for the CPA shopping district(sale taxes, home buyers). Its 11;15 AM do you know where your president is? He has been out campaigning for almost the last three years instead of restoring the economy. Its 11:19AM do you know where those socialist Democrats are, who said we should be more like the socialist European countries? The only good Democrat is a defeated Democrat.

  3. Repeat:Obamaists controlled the presidency and both houses and they did not end the Bush presription plan for seniors. If Gore had become president we would have had a national deficit double what it is now.Al Gore and his father have used their political offices to enrich themselves.Giving todays leftist Democratic Party increased taxes is like flushing your money down a toilet, because it would never be used to pay down the deicit. The only good Democrat is a defeated Democrat.

  4. both nixon kennedy and gore bush would have been
decided without being close becaue in each election
the popular vote was not that close…they were fighting over the electoral college..florida was close
the rest of the nation was not..and had gore been
president regardless of what your personal political
leanings are we would not have had 2 unfunded wars
and a medicare prescription plan also not paid for
finally as to simpson bowles you make my point…
there were increased revenues in that plan but the
    tea party would permit NONE

  5. The republican created real recession is coming but the banker scum and the military who created it will still be laughing all the way to the bank.
    Let them eat cake.

  6. The Supreme Misleader, lied again to senior citizens telling them they would not receive their social security checks to get the seniors in a panic to call their congressional Republican legislators to vote for the spend and tax Obama debt ceiling.Obamas lie caused a further drop in consumer buying causing more harm to the economy. The only good Democrat is a defeated Democrat.

  7. The Simpson Bowles recommendations, which Obama never presented and the democratic controlled Senate never presented, called for three trillion in spending cuts including medicare and medicaid and one trillion in tax increases.I think the founders of this nation had it right with the electoral college and without it, we would have national chaos already with just the few examples I can recall right now,Bush-Gore,Nixon-Kennedy.We even had local races go months before a winner was declared.United States, means exactly what it says and states have the right to schedule their primaries anytime they see fit.Tax increases cannot stop the defictcrats from spending more than what is coming in.How about taxing all lawyers 95%?The only good Democrat is a defeated Democrat.

  8. that’s exactly why direct election is necessary..you
can’t choose three states to pick the presidential
nominees because you happen to agree with their choices
how can you tolerate an electoral college that would
permit the person with fewer votes from being elected
president? that’s hardly democratic…as for the tea
party position it is NOT the same or even close to
simpson bowles..they advocated revenue increases in
the form of tax code modification..the tea party
counts elimination of loop holes as tax increases..
you should read the simpson report…or the op ed in
the times this morning..but either way ..the bush
tax cuts will expire producing 3 million in revenue
which will just about solve the problem ..debt cannot
exceed 60% of GDP..as it stand now it will reach almost
80% by 2020..unacceptable so when the president says
he will not extend any of the bush tax cuts you watch
how republicans change their tune about revenues

  9. The Tea Party position is the same as the bond rating agencies and Obamas Simpson Bowles Committee that Obama and the radical leftist who control the Democratic Party have ignored. If you want this economy to escape another depression, Bernanke who has shrunk the value of the dollar and thereby lowered the buying power of wage earners, that in turn has increased unemployment, has to be replaced. Obamas haters of capitalism, that have been appointed to head the OSHA,EPA and NLRB are killing jobs in America to fulfill their leftist agenda.Direct election of presidents would lead to electoral chaos with the nation going through the Florida like recounts only nationwide.I’ll take the judgement of the people of New Hampshire, Iowa and South Craolina any day over the New York and California electorates.God Bless America and the Tea Party. The only good Democrat is a defeated Democrat.

  10. direct democracy is a nutty idea…well over half
the people in this country who would be eligible to
vote haven’t got a basic education….they do not have
the tools nor the understanding to make informed
decisions..they are driven solely by cliche’s and
    trite statements..witness the limbaugh’s and hannity’s
rants every day and their followers..witness the tea
party republicans who were willing to blow up the US
economy rather than give one inch in compromise..representative democracy may be a bad political system but it beats all the others…the only
direct democracy argument that might be feasible is
direct election of the president rather than this
    nonsense primary/electoral college arrangement which
gives Iowa new hampshire and south carolina none of which is remoteley representative of the demographic
in the US a disproportionate say in picking the nominee
