In Memoriam CandleDr.
Nazar J. Sayegh of Yonkers, a fine doctor and close family friend passed away
this morning at 53 years old.

Predeceased by his father, Jamil Musa Sayegh

Survived by his mother, Jalilah Sayegh, his wife Dianna, two children Jamil and
Jillian, and many nieces and nephews

Brother to Dr. Nabil J. Sayegh, Dr. Nayel J. Sayegh, Nader J. Sayegh Esq., Dr.
Nadeem J. Sayegh, Dr. James J. Sayegh, Nancy Sayegh and Rima (Daibes). 

Nazar
was a primary care physician in Yonkers all his life. He started in the
emergency room at St. Joseph’s  Medical
Center
and other various hospitals in the metropolitan area. He had a very
successful family practice on Midland Avenue in Yonkers for 25 years. He was a
police surgeon for the Westchester County and Yonkers Police Departments and
was always available, day and night, to anyone in need. He rarely took
vacations, and when asked why not, his response would be that his patients
needed him around. He spent his free time as a world-renowned Elvis
impersonator. He performed in Las Vegas, Atlantic City and different venues in
the tri-state area. His performances aired on national television, including
the Montell Williams Show. He performed for various benefit organizations
including civic groups and youth associations. He performed at the NYPD 9/11
Foundation’s Orchard Beach Car Show. He was truly one of the best Elvis Presley
impersonators and this is how he enjoyed his free time.

Funeral
arrangements will take place at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home, 168 Park Avenue
in Yonkers, NY, from 4:00-9:00 p.m., this Tuesday, May 14, 2013. Mass will take
place at the Virgin Mary Antiochian Orthodox Church, 236 Grandview Boulevard in
Yonkers, NY, at 10:00 am on Wednesday, May 15, 2013. Following Mass, burial services
will be condcucted at Mount Hope Cemetery, on Saw Mill River Road in
Hastings-on-Hudson, NY.

  5. I saw this today I know some of the family members who were quite successful in yonkers .I went to gorton with some of his kin . sorry for your loss he departed way too soon r.i.p.

  7. Dr. Sayegh became my doctor 25 years ago when I first began working in Yonkers. He was a great person who took the time to explain anything that you did not understand regardless of how busy his waiting room was. He has been and always will be missed. Rest in Paradise Dr. Sayegh.

  8. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Dr.Nazar’s family,you are all in our prayers. Yonkers and the entire arabic/american community lost a great human being who put every one first. He was a wonderful son to his mother, a great father to his children, husband, brother, and the people who truly new him. Dr. Nazar will be missed but, not forgotten. May he rest in peace, we lost a great man and heaven gained an angel.

  13. A dear friend since 1985, when I first met him at a casting call for a Broadway show about Elvis, Nazar was a good friend off, as well as on stage. Our hearts and prayers go out to his wife Diana and his entire family, all of whom we’d met and celebrated with, at their homes for family events over the past 30 years.
    Our most sincere condolences.
