Video Shows Plaid Cap Bandit with Skin Pigmentation Marks or Scars Covering His Face
NEW YORK, NY — January 13, 2014 — The FBI has linked three recent bank robberies and is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying and locating the perpetrator. The unknown bank robber, a/k/a the Plaid Cap Bandit, was last seen on Wednesday, November 27, 2013, at the Chase Bank located at 1044 McLean Avenue in Yonkers, New York. On November 27, the suspect entered the Chase branch, approached the teller, and demanded money while brandishing a silver semi-automatic handgun.
The Plaid Cap Bandit is described as a black male in his early 40s with a medium build. He is between 170 and 180 pounds and approximately 6’0” tall. Most notably, he has skin pigmentation marks or scars covering his face. He was seen in all the robberies wearing dark-rimmed glasses, a dark coat, and a gray plaid cap with a plaid pattern.
A significant reward is available for a tip that breaks the case. Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI immediately at 212-384-1000. Tipsters may remain anonymous.
