Parking MeterMetro North Train operating while snowingYONKERS, NY — January 2, 2014 — Parking meter enforcement has been suspended for Friday, January 3, 2014, in the City of Yonkers and the Village of Bronxville. New York State declares a snow emergency. New York City and Westchester County expect a range of from 4 to 8 inches accumulation. Coastline flood advisory with soil erosion. 

Tonight and tomorrow Metro-North will operate reduced service to prevent trains from becoming stranded during the storm. 

After midnight, the MTA will operate an hourly schedule making all stops.

Metro-North will operate a Saturday schedule due to the projected impact of the winter storm dubbed Hercules by the Weather Channel.  

Depending on the time of day, this schedule provides approximately 60 percent of normal weekday trains.  The Haverstraw-Ossining Ferry and Newburgh-Beacon Ferry will not operate and the Hudson Rail Link will operate on a special schedule.
