YONKERS, NY — November 7, 2014 — Judy Koller, owner of Always East Transportation, on September 1, 2014 came to a contractual agreement with Nick Spano’ Empire Strategic Planning. The signed agreement is for $30,000 payable at the rate plus reasonable and actual incurred expense. Empire Strategic Planning stipulated it “agrees to represent Always East Transportation, Inc., before the executive, legislative and administrative branches of government in New York State from September 1st 2014 through August 31st 2015.
Empire Strategic Planning owner Nick Spano, the former New York State Senator, brother to Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano is evidently blind to or is unencumbered by any ethical constraint to lobby on behalf of this company, among others Nick Spano’s operation lobbies.
A pattern is seemingly emerging. Is Empire Strategic Planning shaking down firms and unions and other entities engaged in business related issues with the City of Yonkers? Has Yonkers Inspector General Brendan McGrath began an investigation into the these disturbing findings? If not the Yonkers Inspector General, perhaps this mushrooming relationship that screams conflict of interest anathema is best placed before U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara
Always East Transportation, Inc., 870 Nepperhan Avenue, Yonkers, NY 10703, is a privately held company, established in 1995, employing from 10-19 people, and generates an estimated $500,000 to $1 million per annum.
