WESTCHESTER COUNTY, NY — October 5, 2017 —Stop the endless, useless conventional moaning and official Republican twittering.  The media is full of it.

Surely we know the basic cause.  The recent and most obscene mass shooting in Las Vegas should at long last move us to demand action. Let us insist on the obvious law.

Are there truly one million of the basic tools used in mass shootings floating around this country.  We can no longer wait for Trump to lead.  His great cause is “Tax Revision in favor of even more concentration of obscene wealth for about one of one thousand of our citizens, which President Franklin Roosevelt expressly warned, does lead to fascism, as defined by Benito Mussolini in 1930’s Italy.

No hunter, collector, or Nervous-Nelly needs a military type assault rifle or gun with a magazine of more than seven or ten projectile cartridges.  These semi-automatic guns can  be, if legally adapted through alternative well known modest devices be converted to fully automatic machine guns, as was used in the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada, and in other mass shootings.

I am familiar with guns.  Years  ago I used a variety of guns, and as a Navy Officer, I trained enlisted men in the use of semi-automatic weapons in the Philippines.

No civilian should be permitted to have one, much less carry arm-loads of them, as the shooter carried into the Mandalay Bay Hotel, in Las Vegas.  Congress must make their possession illegal and illegal to buy or sell by individuals or for purchase at gun shows or for stocking and or for sale in stores.  If not all are turned in to an appropriate police office within three days, or perhaps a week, violators should be arrested and imprisoned, with no Ex Post Facto exception.
