WESTCHESTER COUNTY, NY — December 19, 2017 — Just finished the holiday decorating, our Manger scene needed work, lost a few sheep, added some straw, and one of the wise men needed a bit of Elmer’s glue, but otherwise good to go; then poured myself a hot cocoa and wrote this week’s “Ho! Ho! Ho!” edition of “News & Notes.”
We held our annual “Clubhouse Christmas Spectacular” food drive and radio benefit show for The Community Center of Northern Westchester at Grand Prix NY in Mount Kisco. We raised over 800 pounds of food for the center. The Holiday Food Drive 2017 collects food and monetary donations for hundreds of neighbors during the month of December. Items most needed are fresh fruit, mixed nuts, cookies in a tin, hot chocolate, instant or ground coffee and small boxes of tea bags. The Community Center of Northern Westchester is located at 84 Bedford Rd. in Katonah. The phone number is 914-232-6572.
