YONKERS, NY — December 8, 2027 — On Thursday, December 7, 2017th, at approximately 10:49 PM, members of the Yonkers Police Department responded to the rear of 9 Riverview Place on a report of a man down. Upon arrival officers discovered a male down on the ground in a lifeless state with an apparent gunshot wound to his lower body. Paramedics responded and pronounced the victim deceased at scene. Officers cordoned off the area and initiated a criminal investigation.
Detectives from the Major Case Unit and Crime Scene Unit responded to the scene, interviewing subjects, canvassing for witnesses and surveillance video, and processing forensic and ballistic evidence. Preliminary investigation has yielded that the victim died at scene, and that he may have been targeted and this incident was not a random event. There were no reports of shots fired prior to this event, and no arrests have been made at this time.
Detectives are actively investigating this incident, following up leads and examining evidence. The victim is identified as Dymere Graham, a 30 year old resident of 9 Riverview Place, Yonkers. The body of Graham was secured by the Westchester County Medical Examiner’s Office for further investigation. No other information will be released at this time. The Yonkers Police Department is committing every available resource to apprehend the perpetrator of this crime, and assures the community that the safety of our residents is always the priority for the Department and that no level of violence is acceptable. The Yonkers Police Department extends its condolences to the Graham family.
