Nader Sayegh candidate for New York State Assembly District 90, endorsed by the Women’s Equality Party

YONKERS, NY — August 15, 2018 — Nader Sayegh, candidate for the 90th Assembly District, announced today that he has earned the support of New York State Union of Teachers (NYSUT). With more than 600,000 members across New York State, the union has an established record of supporting their endorsed candidates with unmatched resources and a highly successful political advocacy operation.

“I am distinctly honored to receive the support of NYSUT,” said Mr. Sayegh. “A former member myself, I understand the integral role NYSUT plays in ensuring that our educators who dedicate their lives and do their best everyday have the resources and support to continue empowering our most precious resource, our children. I look forward to partnering with NYSUT in the State Assembly.”

Mr.Sayegh has a long history of service to the education community, having himself served as a teacher and principal for over 35 years in Yonkers Public Schools. This involvement continues to this day, where currently serves as a Trustee on the Yonkers Board of Education, and previously served as president. His family is also extensively involved in the education field across Yonkers and the region.

This latest endorsement adds to the mounting support the Sayegh campaign has received over thecourse of the campaign. Yonkers Democratic Committee, Women’s Equality Party, 1199 SEIU, and Teamsters Local 456 have all thrown their support behind Nader Sayegh’s bid for the 90th Assembly District.
