On Wednesday, October 3, 2018, Federated Conservationists of Westchester County (FCWC) will hold our annual fall benefit, honoring:
• Tracy Brown, Director Save the Sound
• Stephen F. Byrns, President Untermyer Gardens Conservancy
• David Yarnold, President and CEO, National Audubon Society
• Peter McCartt, Director of Energy Conservation and Sustainability, Westchester County
ABOUT THE BENEFIT:
The FCWC reception is one of the most enjoyable evenings on the Westchester County scene. This year, the benefit will be held at a private home in Hastings with majestic views. Our attendees are community leaders. This is a group of people who care deeply about the environment and have been working for decades to preserve and enhance the environment in Westchester County and beyond.
As a local, non-profit organization, FCWC is a coalition of local groups and individuals that forms a strong single voice for sustainable development, reducing pollution, and preserving Westchester’s many natural resources. Since 1965, FCWC has promoted environmentally sound planning and decision-making throughout the region and has educated and involved the public, business professionals and government officials on the need to protect our natural resources. As the premier environmental watchdog in Westchester, the organization has influenced citizens, as well as local, county, and state governments in the defense of our air, water, and land.
