YONKERS, NY — September 12, 2018 — Seasoned franchisee Scott Rosenburg opened the first SoBol in Yonkers on today, Wednesday, September 12th. Rosenburg is a multi-brand owner who built his career with East Coast franchise stalwarts Nathan’s Famous Hot Dogs and Ralph’s Italian Ice.

He now is excited to add SoBol to his East Coast repertoire. “I knew the brand was doing well, so I decided to check out a store,” Rosenburg said. “I saw right away that the product was great and they had created a very specific and appealing atmosphere.”

Rosenburg reached out to SoBol after noticing all the buzz surrounding the brand and wanted in. He also signed on to open another location in New York.

According to SoBol CEO and Founder Jason Mazzarone, the kind of aggressive growth strategy he saw in Rosenburg is one of the primary traits he looks for in new owners.

“We are growing fast and we want to partner with owners who believe in what we’re doing and want to grow with us. Scott showed us that attitude right away, and we are excited to build out our existing markets and move into new ones with Scott and more owners like him.”

SoBol specializes in açaí bowls and smoothies, bringing trendy, power foods to health- conscious customers. The brand burst onto the franchise scene opening more than 20 locations in just the past two years. Most recently, SoBol opened a location in Astoria, Queens, and Farmingdale, Long Island. The franchise now looks to expand into Connecticut and Rhode Island markets. The heaviest concentration of SoBol restaurants lies in Long Island with nearly 20 locations from Long Beach to Oyster Bay.

Mazzarone hopes to open more locations around Yonkers. “There is a lot of commuter and foot traffic that runs through the area. We think Sobol will prove to be attractive to the many college students, casino goers and residents traveling through.”

SoBol located at 2353 Central Park Avenue, Yonkers, NY 10710 is open seven days a week from 7 a.m – 8 p.m.
