One-Alarm Fire at 2 South Cottage Place Gardens Extinguished

YONKERS, NY — November 15, 2018 — The alarm was sounded at 1:48pm. Upon arrival at  2 South Cottage Place Gardens, Yonkers Fire Department were quick to recognize the one-alarm fire was still confined to the apartment of origin.

Approximately 40 Firefighters responded to the  scene. They were able to gain control over the fire and declared it officially extinguished at 2:15pm. No known injuries have been reported.

All fire companies have picked up their equipment and heave returned to servie.

Yonkers Fire Department Deputy Chief of Personnel Daniel P.  Flynn advises the cause of the fire is under investigation.
