WESTCHESTER COUNTY, NY — White Plains CitizeNetReporter Publisher / Editor John Bailey opens the Monday, December 31, 2018th broadcast with respect to issues impacting the City of White Plains, and Westchester County government. This segment heard from 10-10:30am.

Analyst Michael Edelman, Esq., speaks to national and international concerns revolving about POTUS.

President Donald Trump’s agreement with Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to withdraw 2,000 American troops supporting the Kurds’ efforts to vanquish ISIS has had some deleterious effects. The Kurds are left not knowing where to turn and have now worked out support for themselves from Syrian President Bashar al Assad to protect their people from attack from Turkey who describe the Kurds as terrorists. Turkey continues to kill the Kurds in Turkey. Trump won America’s sale of fighter jets to Turkey that would have likely been placed with the Russians. Iran, supporting Hezbollah now has a direct land route through Iraq and Syria to arm Hezbollah in Lebanon. The Middle East seems in a more precarious stituation than ever. Has Pres. Trump disavowed America’s long-standing core values by departing Syria? Is this appropriate for America’s well-being? Has POTUS undermined Israel’s security? Has POTUS created a Middle East powder keg worse than the one he inherited from the Obama Administration? What about Jordan? Syria, Egypt?

Have American values changed so that winning the fight with ISIS is no longer necessary? Has America’s word to sustain the Kurds in their fight for the Kurdish people as long as they hold and vanquish ISIS become a zero-sum game? If the Kurds do not maintain the leverage in Syria and preventing Russia and Iran consolidating their grip on Lebanon, who will step in? Turkey has been warned by Turkey to stay out of the fray?  With America’s departure from the Middle East, will Russia quietly shrink from its takeover Ukraine?

Has America abandoned its commitment to defend liberal-international order against totalitarian enemies as the whims of the President eclipse long term strategy? Is Trump reassesses what is best for America? Is there a studied outcome? Has POTUS explained his plan to anyone?

Will America maintain its commitments on the world or abandon it? What is best for America? What about religious freedom? Barely a murmur as Christians suffer genocide throughout the Middle East and Africa. Why? Can America survive present isolationist hysteria while espousing a global agenda. If the change is being formulated as we speak, will the world be at peace or at war sooner rather than later? This segment airs from 10:30-11am

Thereafter, Yonkers Tribune Editor-at-Large Hezi Aris engages in additional hyperlocal concerns, county, state, and international news with commensurate analysis. Focus today will first center of the lawsuit filed against the Yonkers Tribune. This segment airs from 11am-12Noon.
