OSSINING, NY — December 30, 2018 — Sing Sing Kill Brewery (SSKB) is making a name for itself as the area’s newest music venue by kicking off 2019 with two world-class jazz performances. Ossining is home to some of the world’s hottest musicians, and SSKB is capitalizing on these local connections. The exciting week of music begins on New Year’s Eve with KJ Denhert and her band, and continues on Friday with the Geoffrey Keezer trio featuring Gillian Margot.
When Ossining resident KJ Denhert joined friends for a set at SSKB last week, she packed the room. Locals were thrilled to see the self-described “urban folk and jazz” artist perform for the first time on Spring Street. The SSKB New Year’s Eve party features live music from KJ Denhert and her band. KJ has sold out every venue in the area, so get your tickets in advance! Doors open at 8pm, music starts at 9pm and runs until just past midnight. Ticket price includes light bites, live music, and a NY sparkling wine toast at midnight.
Tickets $20, advance or at the door. https://www.eventbrite.com/e/new-years-eve-celebration-featuring-kj-denhert-tickets-53819012114

On January 4, music fans can check out the Geoffrey Keezer trio featuring Gillian Margot, with Richie Goods on bass and Jon Wikan on drums. Jon Wikan playing drums in the trio is how the fledgling music venue was able to be part of the group’s tour—just days before their NYC gig. Ossining area music enthusiasts are wise to secure tickets in advance since this group has been playing to full houses and standing ovations throughout their international and US tour. Geoffrey Keezer, a multiple GRAMMY-nominated pianist, composer, arranger and producer, is described as “one of the greatest living pianists”. His new album On My Way To You features the stellar, soulful guest vocalist Gillian Margot. They will be joined by multiple GRAMMY-nominees Richie Goods and Jon Wikan.
Tickets $20 in advance, $25 at the door.
