2019 Empire State Winter Games Torch Relay will be making a stop at the following locations for a ceremonial celebration:

Past relays promoting Empire State Winter Games to begin again.


  • 9:30AM – Chelsea Piers Sky Rink – 61 Chelsea Piers, New York, NY 10011
    • Synchronized skating teams will perform a choreographed number while relaying the torch around the rink
  • 1:30PM – Long Island, Northwell Health Center – 200 Merrick Ave, East Meadow, NY 11554
    • Home of the Islanders, Mascot Sparky the Dragon will be in attendance while the torch is passed during skating/ice hockey school sessions


  • 10:30AM Manhattan – NYSE – 11 Wall St New York, NY 10005
    • Outside of the NYSE, ESWG executives will speak before the torch is run to Central Parks’ Wollman Rink
  • 1:00PM Manhattan, Wollman Rink, 830 5th Ave New York, NY 10065
    • ESWG Figure Skating Competitors will skate the torch around the rink before passing to be run to Lasker rink
  • 2:00PM Manhattan, Lasker Rink, 110 Lenox Ave New York, NY 10065
    • ESWG Hockey competitors will skate the torch around the rink

  • 3:30PM Yonkers, LL Bean 78 Market Street (Ridge Hill) Yonkers, NY 10710
    • ESWG representatives will formally thank the sports brand for sponsoring the Torch Relay clothing and run the torch in and out of the store
  • 4:45PM Armonk, Hickory & Tweed Ski Shop 410 Main Street Armonk, NY 10504
    • Torch runner will begin at intersection of Rt.22 and 128 and run the torch toward Mt. Kisco, briefly stopping at the ski shop

Local dignitaries and state officials, as well as torch runners will be in attendance to speak about the 2019 Games and their impact on the entire state of New York. There will be a half-hour ceremony,

In its 39th year, the Empire State Winter Games continues to evolve, introducing a second route from Buffalo, NY, to last year’s inaugural torch relay which goes from Manhattan to Lake Placid, NY. The relay begins January 27 and culminates five days, and over 700 miles of travel when the flame ignites the ESWG cauldron and kicks off the 2019 Games which is hosted in the Adirondacks from January 31-February 3.
