JERUSALEM, ISRAEL — January 24, 2019 —With details leaking out and creating a bit of an uproar in Israel, as well as angry, defiant comments from Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has confirmed President Trump’s intention to reveal his peace plan, known as “The Deal of the Century”, shortly after Israel’s April 9th elections.
Simultaneously, Israel has intensified its bombings of Iranian targets in Syria, inflicting heavy damage on Iranian and Syrian bases, thus prompting the question, “Why now?” Why are the attacks increasing in both frequency and intensity, where is the invisible Arab protest, and why is Trump planning to soon propose a new peace plan that nobody seems to want?”
According to David Rubin, former Mayor of Shiloh in Israel, political analyst, and author of “Trump and the Jews”, this is all expected. Says Mayor Rubin, “The four W words are key: Withdrawal, Weaken, Weapons, and Warsaw”. He goes on to explain, “President Trump’s expected withdrawal from Syria has emphasized to Israel that it must act on its own, and forcefully, to weaken the Iranian presence in Syria and to prevent them from using lethal weapons against Israel. The main factor in building the groundwork for both an anti-Iran coalition and the Trump Peace Plan is Secretary Pompeo’s upcoming February 14-15 Middle East Conference in Warsaw, at which, in addition to many European leaders, he hopes to welcome many Middle Eastern Muslim nations that fear Iran, but claim to need the fig leaf of an Israeli-Palestinian peace plan in order to sit with Israel at such a conference.”
David Rubin, former Mayor of Shiloh Israel, is the author of the new book, “Trump and the Jews”. Rubin is the founder and president of Shiloh Israel Children’s Fund, established after he and his then three-year-old son were wounded in a terror attack.
