  1. It’s the right move. It has been said that the boe wil habe a 50 mil deficit this year. 78% of all expenses are salaries (cray) but anyway, it appears the municipal side will have a surplus. Is the boe doing the right thing by the city? Why is that hole so big but it looks like the city side is doing well?!?
That being said, the mayor is right to focus on Albany at this time. Cousins is now in position to help our city and it looks like she will deliver and that’s a great thing for Yonkers taxpayers. We have been shortchanged for years. If we received what the other big cities do, we would be looking at a additional 175 mil per year. The time is now!! We have confidence in our senators!! They can deliver this for us.

  2. That’s because Yonkers is faced with another fiscal crisis with a gap of $60+ million at BOE and probably another $30+ million on municipal side! Nothing changes with financial mismanagement in CoY, so going to Albany for another bailout! Problem is there are huge revenue shortfalls at the state level, so handouts will be limited. Yonkers needs financial oversight, the folks in charge here don’t have a clue!

  3. You had no intention of delivering the State of City address. Just a smokescreen about videotaping it this year instead of a live audience like the past seven years.
