PELHAM, NY — May 31, 2019 — There’s a new restaurant in town, Pelham, New York that is, with a swoon-worthy name – Casa Amore. The owners, Ben and Chris, illustrate with the tag “The Love Affair Begins.” Provocative, inviting…kind of makes you want to check out their new venture and maybe, just maybe, fall in love. After all, hope springs eternal, no?

The late iconic artist and reprobate Andy Warhol once said “I wonder if it’s possible to have a love affair that lasts forever.” That question is up for grabs but here’s what I do know: my charming dinner at Casa Amore was a love affair that began with a first kiss – my appetizer – and lasted right through the sweet ending – a luscious dessert.

Casa Amore’s elegant dining room is infused with a cosmopolitan atmosphere catering to an urbane palate serving specialties such as Tuna & Avocado Tartar, Seafood Gratinato, and Lobster Fra Diavolo. I was particularly impressed by the large, sophisticated bar where one can experience delightful, innovative cocktails.

I had the good fortune to experience Casa Amore on a special, perfect occasion – my wedding anniversary – and its romantic setting was just what my husband and I were seeking!  The restaurant can accommodate more than 100; yet the feeling is intimate.  The ambiance is warm and happy, fitting because once you taste Chef  Brian MacMenamin’s offerings, like Pharrell Williams’ song, you’re happy! I started off this culinary adventure by ordering the Burratta embellished with baby arugula, white balsamic and figs. My other half loved his Butternut Squash Ravioli, and I, my all time fave, Lasagna.  The dish distinguished itself from a standard lasagna, being prepared “a la Crepisele.” Yes! Desserts here are dolce indeed, with Carrot Cake Bread Pudding and Peach & Mascarpone Torta Rustica high on the list. Your options at Casa Amore are plentiful, imaginative, and deliciously rewarding.

Casa Amore is a gem in the crown of Southern Westchester dining options and delicious, delectable, edible love radiates from here to all of the area’s lucky inhabitants. Come check it out for yourself!
