WESTCHESTER COUNTY, NY — Councilmember Shanae Williams is on the campaign trail. The incumbent Yonkers City Councilmember represents District 1. We inquire with respect to her concerns regarding quality of life issues, e.g. affordable housing concerns, the faltering road infrastructure, renovating Yonkers parks, the homeless population, Yonkers Public School funding deficit, economic development, and employment opportunities. Chabad-Lubavitch of Yonkers Rabbi Mendy Hurwitz will be hosting an Evening of Unity, Solidarity and Prayer In the wake of the horrific Poway Chabad House shooting that took place on the last day of Passover that revealed the murder of one person and three who suffered injuries. The cold-blooded murder of the holy soul of of Lori Gilbert-Kaye, and will pray for the healing of the physical and mental anguish suffered by the congregants. Sabbath lights will be lit to bring a sense of greater light to the evening service. Chabad-Lubavitch of Yonkers is located at 600 N. Broadway. The special service will take place on Friday, May 3rd at 6:30 PM. Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano will attend. This segment from 10:30-10:45am.

Yonkers Mayoral candidate Karen Beltran is challenging the incumbent in the Yonkers City Democratic Committee Primary contest for which voters will cast their vote on June 25, 2019. This segment from 10:45-11:15am.
