Hyperlocal Political Analyst Lorraine Lopez shares her perspective of the Mount Vernon mayoral race vying to win the Democratic Primary Election between Shawyn Patterson-Howard, Clyde A. Isley, Richard Thomas, and André Wallace. This segment from 10-10:30am.

Mount Vernon Mayoral Candidate Shawyn Patterson-Howard presents her vision for Mount Vernon and her plans to transform City Hall in the first 100 days. One concern is the Mayor – Comptroller relationship, integrity, experience, economic development, affordable housing, and most importantly, vision of Mount Vernon’s future prospects. This segment from 10:30-11am

David Rubin, former Mayor of Shiloh, Israel, author of the new book, “Trump and the Jews” is our guest today. We engage him in explaining the Israeli election outcome, the lack of forming a coalition government, the demand by some, specifically secular-nationalist Yisrael Beiteinu (Israel Is Our Home) party head Avigdor Lieberman who wanted haredi Orthodox men to be obligated to participate in Israel’s mandatory military draft. Haredi Orthodox parties wanted to soften the text of the law. Liberman’s 5 potential Yisrael Beiteinu votes would have given Prime Minister Nethanyau a majority coalition, without it, another election is required. Did Avigdor undermine a coalition being formed? Did Prime Minister Benjamin Nethanyahu gamble wisely to call for another election rather that build a less secure coalition of partners? With time permitting we question what is known about Pres. Trump’s Deal of the Century, and the push back among Lebanon and Jordan specifically, as well as the greater Middle East nations. We inquire about Christian genocide in the Middle East of Coptic Christians, the rise of anti-semitism in the U.S. and Europe, and the anti-Israel rhetoric defining Israel in disparaging terms, and the boycott effort, and the use of fire, promulgated by ISIS to create fear, dislocation, and undermine one’s ability to sustain one’s livelihood by burning crops. This segment from 11-11:30am

Thereafter, Hezi Aris, Yonkers Tribune Editor-at-Large delves into hyperlocal, city, county, state, national and international news with commensurate analysis. This segment from 11:30am-12Noon.

  1. Walker and Reynolds are one in the same. Reynolds is disrespectful. Thomas is far from perfect, but where were all of these people that are against Thomas when Davis did what he did to Mt.Vernon? If Davis was so great he would be on the ballot. Hezi you said it perfect. This started 3 1/2 years ago. Thomas was never welcomed by the political insiders or given a chance. Shawn will and could be a great mayor.
