OSSINING, NY — June 12, 2019 — Comp Plan Underway. Thank you to everyone who participated in last week’s Comprehensive Plan kickoff meeting. It was terrific to see so many folks come out—familiar faces and new faces. If you would like to view the presentations from the Information Session, click here.
Trustee Manuel Quezada, Village Manager Karen D’Attore and I joined Village Planner Tracey Corbitt at the Village Fair on Saturday. This was an opportunity to continue the conversation and share ideas about Ossining’s future. If you’re interested in keeping informed about the Comprehensive Plan update, and perhaps serving on a committee, click here.
Last week’s Village Board meeting included a Public Hearing related to the proposed Hudson Steppe development on State Street. Click here to view that portion of the meeting. The Public Hearing will continue on the June 19 meeting.
Have a burning question or idea, at any hour of the day or night?… Email me (firstname.lastname@example.org), the Board of Trustees (email@example.com) or Village Manager Karen D’Attore (firstname.lastname@example.org).
This week we welcome Karen D’Attore as our new Village Manager. Wednesday will be her first public meeting in her new position. Click here to read the full work session agenda.
Work sessions are forums when the Village Board meets with staff and experts to become informed on potential action to be taken, and generally is not open for public comment. However, the public is invited to attend in person or to watch the meeting on television, the village website, or YouTube.

Prepping to Pave!
If you’ve driven down Underhill Road recently, you’ve seen the Public Works Team preparing for the upcoming paving season. A preliminary step to resurfacing this roadway is to raise the grade of the manhole covers so that they will be flush with the level of the roadway when it is paved this spring.
