Unrelated to the conduct in the City of Mount Vernon, specific to Joe Spiezio III, a benefactor of sorts to former Mayor Richard Thomas, is an ancillary tid bit of news, that is that Spiezio was hit with a fine of $300,000* (the correct amount is $200,000 not $300,000) by the City of Yonkers today. It was my typo error ~ Hezi!

  1. Mount Vernon’s government has been corrupt for decades. Never mind the state control board-why hasn’t the federal government stepped in? What will it take?

  2. time for a State Control Board in Mt. Vernon that’s the only way to straighten out the mess, doesn’t matter who is the Mayor or who will be Mayor!!! you need to bring in a control board!!!
