YONKERS, NY — July 16, 2019 — In February of this year Con Ed submitted its rate case for 2020 seeking an 8.6% electric and 14.5% gas increases.

If approved the new rates would take affect for one year starting January 1, 2020.

Con Ed claims that Westchester residents will only see an increase in their electric rate of 5.7% and 11% for gas, this after three years of increases.

Call the Public Service Commission, #844-254-6881, and tell them to reject Con Edison’s rate hikes; Cases 19-E-0065 and 19-G-0066 or direct email to the DPS Secretary, Kathleen Burgess: secretary@dps.ny.gov and tell her to:

“Reject Con Edison’s plan. They would send rates sky high, as well as increase my already excessive customer service charge. Please give ratepayers a break.”

Remember to give your name and the municipality in which you live in addition to the case numbers.

Deadline for filing is September 30, 2019.

  1. We need higher rates to make proper infrastructure investments. Bill is pandering again. Do you remember when Nick Spain huggers him?
