Shawyn Patterson-Howard candidate for Mayor of the City of Mount Vernon, NY.

WHITE PLAINS, NY — The Westchester County Board of Elections (WCBoE)  have certified the Mount Vernon Democratic Primary Election results as certified in favor of Shawyn Patterson-Howard. The WCBoE gave Patterson-Howard a 209 vote margin exceeding the votes tabulated in favor of the incumbent Mayor Richard Thomas. 

There has been talk that present Mayor Richard Thomas may attempt to enter the General Election as a write-in candidate. André Wallace, present Mount Vernon City Councilman is expected to enter the General Election this November running under the Republican Party line. Rosemarie Jarosz is expected to be a mayoral contender under the Conservative Party line.
