GREENBURGH, NY — August 23, 2019 — Greenburgh’s initiative to promote Cricket at Westchester’s first cricket field received an enormous positive response from cricket lovers. We’re the first community in Westchester to promote cricket as a sport. The cricket committee is encouraging kids to learn the sport with a free kids cricket clinic on August 25th at 9a.m. at Richard Presser Park (formerly Webb Field),  218 North Central Ave in Hartsdale.

Cricket is one of the most popular sports in the world. Learning the sport could be great for your kids!  A big thank you to the members of the Greenburgh Cricket Committee for their hard work and for organizing this event.

Representatives of various Westchester cricket teams have come together to create “22YardSport”, a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting the sport of cricket in Westchester and surrounding communities. They will be the voice of cricket enthusiasts in working with local officials for the development of dedicated cricket facilities.

While our journey has only started we are excited to see what the future will bring!
