PELHAM, NY — September 14, 2019 — What have Pelhamites, indeed all of Southern Westchester, been hankering for —  a divine Italian (white table cloth) restaurant with spectacular food, an imaginative menu, and prices that are easy on the wallet.  Well, I’m happy to report it’s here! All welcome Macelleria Italian Steakhouse to the fine dining scene – and anyone who’s not yet checked it out – the time is now!  You have a superb experience awaiting you.

Having spent 20 years managing Italian restaurants in New York City and Westchester, restaurateur Tony Lala has opened Macelleria (that means “butcher shop” in Italian) on Pelham’s Fifth Avenue. Mr. Lala says that his concept was to bring the city experience to Pelham.  “We have very reasonable prices so I want people to come in 7 days a week.  We want families to think that instead of cooking at home, let’s go to Macelleria and have a nice bowl of pasta or a burger or steak.”  Indeed! A most pleasant thought, one that I will act on time and time again.

Departing Macelleria we were joined on the sidewalk by several other people who had just dined.  We all began chatting excitedly about our mutual dinners and the cheerful ambience of the place.  We walked an entire block enthusiastically exchanging praise for the place and how glad we were that this restaurant has come to Pelham. Something tells me that this happy talk happens all the time after experiencing Macelleria.

Let’s all support this “new kid on the block” and help to make it the resounding success it truly deserves.
