  1. The newly elected Mayor already sounds like genius compared to that wrinkle suit womanizing fat bobble head Mayor Spano. Good luck to you.
    Yonkers life long resident

  2. I am ***** *****, the last honest man in Yonkers. I would like you to join me at the River Front Library this DAY OF THE EVENT NOT BEING POSTED, where I will demonstrate how to take back our government. There is a dress code. No wrinkled clothing allowed. Look Sharp. Be Sharp. Be the Nickel you dream of.

If this is sarcasm, ok. Iam concerned people may show up on the day you suggest and no one will be there. I noticed you did not mention a time. Why? This seems a hoax or a joke. The name noted is one Iam unfamiliar with. Even so, with over 200,000 people in Yonkers I know nowhere near everyone.

If you want, I welcome you send me an email to my encrypted email server.Direct it to eHezi@hush.com.I look forward to validating your allegedly upcoming event. I need specifics. Thank you. Kndly, Hezi

  3. Don’t think so. Mike Spano is a zero that only serves his brother convict Nick. If he is lucky he will end up with Denise. Mary Calvi will move on after her kids are just about out of College. The Spano’s brothers are liars. If the new elected Mayor knows what is good for her City she will state clear away from the Spano’s who may already be under some type of probe.

    1. Westchester CE Latimer today proposes legislation to reduce term limit for CE from 3 terms to 2 (four year) terms and if passed by BOL would include him. Now that’s an honest man concerned about good governance!!

Totally contrary to the corrupt Yonkers model whereby earlier this year self-serving politicians increased term limits from 2 terms to 3 (four year) terms. Yonkers is moving in the wrong direction!!!

  4. Clarifying some information on our next steps and the transition team.
To date, no offers have been extended and any announcements of such shall be made by me.
Interest in joining our administration is high, so please know that my enthusiasm will be informed by careful planning and transparency. I promised a new era of professionalism and accountability, and that begins with this process. My team and I are committed to a fair, impartial and comprehensive search for the best possible candidates.
A transition team is being formed to support this effort and will be tasked with vetting potential candidates and making the appropriate recommendations for key positions. As stated throughout the campaign process, all appointments will be assessed and ultimately hired based on their qualifications, professional experience and the needs of the City.
    Shawyn Patterson-Howard
    Mayor-Elect, City of Mount Vernon

    1. Well said Ma’am, As a mount Vernon resident I’m sure you will do your best for our city. Tim Hodges will probably be your best candidate for good reason. If appointed, I know he will clean up MV. He was a major part of why Yonkers is one of the safest city’s in America.

Good luck in your new position and I hope many good things come to mount Vernon under your leadership.

  5. Can’t wait for the courts to really start asking questions about these so called police officials. Does anyone think that Charles Gardner a real PC will lie for Mueller and his puppet master Olson, “ I did not punch him, I only slapped him from the rear” Now send that check to that convict Nick Spano so the men and women of the unions can lose more 207c benefits.

  6. Fat Mike Spano will be very lucky if he makes Clerk. He is an out right drunk that let his convict brother take over Yonkers. Maybe he should have tried that job first. Yonkers is a cesspool and Nick has two incompetent fools running what is left of the Yonkers PD. The schools are a mess and taxes went up twice. Wondering if Denise is going to be his assistant clerk.

    1. Hoping for the best for Deputy Chief Hodges. Yonkers PD is lost. So funny crime is going up like the overtime and Mueller and Olson calling the shots while cops are hiding from these Spano robots. Thank God for the District Attorney’s Office the only checks and balances left on the Yonkers Police Department. We say double check their investigation. Remember how they said it was a minor accident.

  7. Yes, perhaps I was not clear. Spano will run for County clerk in two years. When he becomes County Clerk, he will be groomed as Latimer’s successor. When Latimer chooses to run for higher office, Mikey will take over. In turn, Rubbo is being groomed as Spano’s successor. This was the deal to allow Shelley Mayer to run without a primary.

  8. Is there an honest man or woman left in Yonkers, whose not named Hezi? His name is Henry Bemis and he does not work for the City of Yonkers. John Rubbo will be your next mayor, because he will keep the friend and family plan alive. I thought it was bad that the Democratic Party Chair ran DPW. Let’s see who Rubbo gives most favorite nation status. Oh what a tangled web we weave when political donations we do receive.

  9. Mt. Vernon is starting off fresh with a New Mayor who was in Law Enforcement herself. She needs to clean up any corruption first and then set her administration on cruise control. That is something Yonkers could not do. Soon as convict Nick came home all of his brothers took over the whole city with permits, contracts, new jobs, and much more. So if Hodges does leave it would be a big loss for honesty, integrity and professionalism. But that is why they wanted Gardner out and that Olson puppet with the permanent smile in.

  10. Take It Tim, get out before the Feds look into the City Administration and how liars like Olson and Mueller operate.
Charles Gardner saw it but was told to stand down against these rogue cops.

  11. No not the bought and paid for head cop. Mueller is not even a Top cop. John Mueller is Keith Olson’s wet dream that came true for all the wrong reasons. Now come to Yonkers and serve the friends and family network the Spano Clan. Bring lobbying cash and hope your friend becomes head cop.

    1. Agreed, we wish the new mayor of Mt. Vernon much success. If Tim Hodges accepts the position he will be great for the community, the Mayor, and the rank & file. Yonkers PD is tainted and it’s real Commissioners are Nick, Lenny, Johnny and any other Dick and Harry. Yonkers may have a couple of new buildings which the Spano’s made coin. Then with the help of John Mueller, Keith Olson and others they screwed a professional like Charles Gardner as well as other professionals within the PD. Then they targeted civilians men and women with tickets and intimidation.
So for a life long resident and professional, the Yonkers PBA cash to Nick Spano and other politicians push in John Mueller a guy who threw a beer fest in his precinct after Olson’s online petitions to save his seat. But there is much more that may be revealed through courts. Yes, go Tim and leave a frustrated dysfunctional corrupt city behind. You will survive anywhere because you are not a thug cop like Olson.

        1. He wants to run for County office and it’s not Latimer’s yet. He will be groomed for County Exec. That was the deal to let Shelley be State Senator. Spano will be taking an elected office at the County.

          1. Yeah that’s definitely not what happened. There was no deal to let Spano be County Executive and George fully expects to be in office for 2 terms if not more.

Back in January 2017 when the vacancy opened up in SD 37 and candidates were fielding endorsements from the assorted committees in the district, Spano s**t the bed by being asked to promise he wouldn’t caucus with the IDC led by Nick’s old friend Jeff Klein. Instead of reading the tea leaves and saying he would elect to remain in the Democratic caucus, he said he wouldn’t “count it out” claiming he saw “tremendous value” in bipartisanship in the wake of Trump. He implied that the IDC was actually good because they swung the pendulum to the center in a time of political polarization and found “common sense solutions”. They didn’t buy it and his candidacy was over.

That’s the difference between Yonkers politics, where an “empowered” few continue to prostitute your city for personal gain and Westchester politics, where people expect honesty, integrity and transparency from their elected officials. Only in Yonkers could a family like Mike Spano’s continue to thrive because of an apathetic and detached electorate. Westchester County is not going to stand for someone who works in cahoots with their felon brother, or with their other brother who manages the city purse despite only having a GED, or a college dropout huckster who switched parties when it suddenly became more convenient for him. It’s why George didn’t pick the Yonkers guy to be County Police Chief. One day these voters are going to wake up, and it’s not going to be to the advantage of the Spanos.

          2. I believe one of the previous unclear comments was referring to Mike Spano running for county clerk, held by his late father at one time. In That position he will be groomed for the county exec.spot Should the opportunity presents itself.

  12. Bringing in Timmy
Hodges as Police Commissioner would be a smart move for our new Mayor. Shame on Yonkers for letting him go, he would be welcomed with open arms in the MVPD.

  13. The new Mayor of Mt.Vernon will be her own Person. If you think some people from Yonkers will control. Who- What -When -Where.. The facts tell the story. Talk is just talk for stupid mines. Hezi reports fact and does his job.

  14. I recon Timmy doesnt play well with the joker and the Spanos. Timmy is a gentleman, and a professional..there is no use for that in the Mueller Spano administration.

  15. Now Mt. Vernon will have a well qualified police professional. At least he is being considered unlike the fix was in for the Joliet John Mueller who couldn’t shine Hodges old police shoes not Charles Gardner who the Spano’s, Keith Olson and John Mueller backstabbed day in and day out. $ 48,000 from the Olson and 24,000 from the CLSA buys you a Olson Puppet like John Mueller. Yonkers is a joke and is corrupt just ask some of the personnel that come in contact with these zeros.

  16. Was this position advertised in any news outlet/employment websites etc by the transition team? Is it a requirement? *pauses to check Link…, Indeed, Monster, Local newspapers*

I’m back, I didn’t see an ad. Someone please post a link to an advertisement if you happen to find one dated BEFORE this article was published.

This would have enabled others who are qualified even among the voters/Mt Vernon residents to submit their application for consideration. The optics here, if this proves true, would seem as if the team called a couple people connected to those in WCPD (nepotism), and other places and made a decision, and is now “speaking it into being” in the news. Praying to the taxpayer god that the optics are wrong.

    1. This is what Mount Vernon needs, Hodges has done so much for Yonkers. I believe with the right support system, he can actually make a difference in the city. It was a shame when he was skipped for the Yonkers PC position, unfortunately Yonkers will suffer at the hands of Muller & KO, the officers and residents will lose the most.

      1. “Shame” is right! Definitely not a smart decision. YPD will take years to recover once the dust settles from the decisions made by fail to transfer mueller and keith purple.

    1. Clarifying some information on our next steps and the transition team.

  17. How many potentially qualified people were vetted since election day last week, in order for this gentleman to be ALREADY considered and published as the top contender to lead a police department which is unstable due to morale brought on by political unrest, leadership on suspension etc, and ongoing investigations of overtime abuse? Was HIS overtime calculations for retirement looked into and did it align with the new vision of service-over-self, for Mt Vernon civil servants and appointed officials? Let’s check the state top-earners list to see. Since the governor has spoken up against padding the pension AND he endorsed this administration. Taxpayers need to know if this top contender passed this test. Transparency was a theme during the election, right? Can you publish his overtime earnings?
Oh, and diversity.. Mt Vernon is a city 61% Black and 18% White, 14% Hispanic and other demographics. was anyone of the majority demographic group vetted? Or was there non among that group who is qualified? At least can it appear that the community has a seat at the table?
    Politics as usual it seems.

    1. Tim Hodges has been so involved for years with so many diverse communities in Yonkers on and off duty. He continues to build bridges with our community and do his job. I doubt the other guy would have done the same. Hodges is undoubtedly the best person and the most qualified to turn the Mount Vernon Police around. He would have been the best choice for Yonkers but as you can see It’s a sad day when politics and corruption continues to drive the decisions in Yonkers. We are losing hold of our future in Yonkers, or the Feds will figure it out.

How do you figure that? This I have got to hear. I am not saying you are wrong, only that if it is true, what is their rationale? Do they have one? Who is part of this team? — Kindly, Hezi

  18. Nick Spano’s influence will permeate Patterson-Howard’s City Hall and watch the Mount Vernon IDA give away tax breaks to developers.
