WHITE PLAINS, NY, and YONKERS, NY — March 23, 2020 — John Bailey, White Plains CitizeNetReporter Publisher / Editor, opens the broadcast day this and every Monday. We discuss the driving force and challenges that impact governance, on the the State, County, City levels and the demeanor exhibited by those elected officials saddled with the analogous responsibilities visited throughout the globe in 1918, when the Spanish Flu was labeled a pandemic. Listen from 10-10:30am.
Barry McGoey, Esq., International Association of Fire Fighters Yonkers Local 628, speaks to the impact the Coronavirus (COVID-19) has on the men and women of the Firefighters who, as First Responders, have not been afforded protective gear to attend to calls for help, whether for those giving birth, suffering from a heart attack, anxious about symptoms that mimic or are in reality infected with the debilitating Coronavirus itself. We also question whether the Fire Fighters have each been tested after it has been learned that approximately 30 people are known to have been infected. Are there a sufficient number of testing kits made available to Yonkers Fire Department and Yonkers Police personnel? Does the last contractual agreement with the City of Yonkers protect the Fire Fighters should they fall ill? This segment from 10:30-11:30am.
Hezi Aris, Yonkers Tribune Publisher / Editor-at-Large closes the broadcast with hyperlocal, county, state, and international issues with commensurate analysis. This segment from 11:30am-12Noon
