Jared M. Rosenberg, Greenburgh Emergency Medical Services EMT-P Paramedic Supervisor.

GREENBURGH, NY – May 7, 2020 — Jared M. Rosenberg, Greenburgh Emergency Medical Services EMT-P Paramedic Supervisor, has been interviewed most recently by PBS, as well as print publications. He is president of the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) unit in Greenburgh for CSEA, AFSCME Local 1000. He has been advocating for additional federal dollars to help local governments maintain pertinent services.

Dobbs Ferry, NY resident Jared Rosenberg is a dedicated Town of Greenburgh employee. As a first responder he remains vigilant and attentive to help others in various emergencies. He oversees 30 EMS employees and works with all of our sworn personnel.

Each year, when people suffer medical related emergencies, traumatic accidents, and most recently  battling against COVID-19 related incidents, the Greenburgh EMS team has remained at the ready. They transport those who have medical issues to hospitals for treatment. Jared epitomizes the notion that there is no time for the weary, so toward that end he volunteers even  in his spare time; he is also head of the Dobbs Ferry Volunteer Ambulance Corp. At the helm of CSEA Local 8215, and AFCSME Local 1000, he advocates for almost 200 of the employees who work for the Town of Greenburgh.

Interestingly enough, Jared’s efforts have received recognition beyond Greenburgh. Jared is helping Greenburgh lobby for federal dollars to offset some anticipated revenue shortfalls we expect from the ravages of the COVID-19 pandemic. Greenburgh Town Comptroller Roberta Romano, previously estimated that the town could lose as much as $7 million in revenue, e.g. sales tax, hotel tax, user and court fees, certiorari’s, mortgage tax, etc.

New York State, Westchester County, and every local government needs federal stimulus grants to help us maintain services that you, our depend.

We’re lucky to have dedicated employees like Jared Rosenberg working for the Town.
