Dennis Richmond Jr. expounds on his educational path: Yonkers Public Schools, Claflin University, and Sarah Lawrence College. He reflects on the many people he came to know, each interspersed though the multi-chaptered work. His first literary work is to some extent a corollary to his founding the New York New Jersey Historically Black Colleges and Universities (NYNJ HBCU) Initiative with each chapter of his book.  through each chapter of my life.
