PALM BEACH GARDENS, FL; WHITE PLAINS, NY; and YONKERS, NY — December 28, 2020 — The Westchester On the Level broadcast opens this Monday morning at 10am EST with White Plains CitizeNetReporter Publisher / Editor John Bailey from 10-10:30am EST.

1a) John Bailey opens the broadcast by sharing the laudatory praise of Greenburgh Town Supervisor  Paul Feiner, Esq., and Bedford Town Supervisor Chris Burdick with respect to Con Edison’s response the last week’s winter storm. How did Con Ed do such an exemplary job when in the past their capacity was judged deficient?

1b) Westchester County Board of Legislators have called on Kite Realty to abide by the County’s Displaced Persons Law and Negotiate Fairly with SEIU 32BJ workers who are being replaced by a non-union cleaning firm/ at issue is whether the county’s law will be able to withstand the lack of adherence to the law.

1c) The New York State Legislature divulged they intend to convene on Monday to extend  an eviction moratorium until May 1, 2021, as well as strengthen a variety of laws for renters and homeowners due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

2. Political Analyst / Pundit Michael Edelman from 10:30-11am EST

2a) President Trump has assailed Congress’ plan to provide $600 in COVID-19 relief checks to most Americans — insisting it should be $2,000. House Republicans rejected that idea during a rare Christmas Eve session. Trump said, “I simply want to get our great people $2000, rather than the measly $600 that is now in the bill;” … and  “Also, stop the billions of dollars in ‘pork.’” President-elect Biden in a statement advised that about 10 million Americans will lose unemployment insurance benefits,” if Trump does not sign the legislation before midnight Monday. The stimulus measure is wrapped up with a $1.4 trillion funding bill. Does Congress have to depart Washington, D.C. during this stalemate? Can they not continue to negotiate until an agreement is reached?

2b) There is talk that Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) seeks another term as Speaker does she have the necessary support or will she be replaced by younger more progressive challengers? Are we seeing the beginning of a major change in politics that will change the demeanor and prospects of the nation?

2c) A highly transmissible variant of the coronavirus first detected in England had by Saturday been documented in   France, Denmark, Spain, Sweden, the Netherlands, Germany and Italy, as well as Canada, Japan, Australia Lebanon and South Africa, despite efforts to contain its spread.

3) Yonkers Tribune Publisher / Editor-at-Large Hezi Aris from 11am-12Noon EST. He engages in the latest hyperlocal to international news concerns with commensurate analysis.
