A Loving Farewell to Lauren Chuman Berg

YONKERS, NY — January 10, 2022 — Lauren Ann Chuman Berg, a native of Yonkers, N.Y., and daughter of the late William Lukas and Janet O’Buck Lukas, passed away on March 27, 2021, after a valiant battle with multiple myeloma cancer.

Born April 18, 1951, Lauren attended Westchester County public schools graduating from Commerce High School. A caregiver in so many ways, she was a licensed practical nurse and a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her beautiful life will be forever remembered for her love of God, family and friends, her joyous laughter and her devotion to her pets and the Philadelphia Eagles.  A sensitive and gentle soul has left us for a better place.

United in holy matrimony to her second husband, Keith Berg in Las Vegas, Nevada on April 26, 2019, the two shared a great love of God and the out-of-doors exploring most of the continental United States together with their two dogs Missy and Wally.

Lauren was previously married to Manuel Chuman who passed away on March 25, 2006 in Norristown, Pennsylvania.  She is mourned by their son Anthony, his wife, Ashley, and Lauren’s three grandchildren Anthony Jr., Isabelle, and Lukas.  She was sadly preceded in death by her first son, Kristen Lukas, who died July 13, 2005.  Also grieving Lauren are her stepchildren Victor Chuman, Antonio Chuman, Manuel Chuman Jr., Angela Gavin, and Lita Chuman, her sister Linda Lukas of The Bronx, and her beloved aunts and uncle, Eleanor Solovey, Susan O’Buck, Margret Quarters and James O’Buck of Westchester County.

Those who wish to honor Lauren’s memory are encouraged to make a donation in her name to a no-kill animal shelter of choice.  Nevada was Lauren and Keith’s home so listed below is a shelter in her home state rated four stars on Charity Navigator:
