YONKERS, NY — January 7, 2021 — NYS Assemblyman Nader Sayegh, Esq., representing AD-90-Yonkers speaks to the impact redistricting will have on New York State and specifically the AD-90 District. We make inquiry over neighborhood pharmacies burdened in inoculating those who are comforted by such pharmacies serving their need yet New York State is not assisting to lighten their financial burden in serving such localities. We make inquiry over New York State rationale. It seems NYS is moving forward with respect to casino gambling licenses. We make inquiry whether MGM Empire City Casino in Yonkers is in the running. Time permitting we will delve into other issues. 10-11am EST.

Richard Thomas, former Mount Vernon Mayor, speaks to the hyperlocal concerns that impact the city. The recently seated members of the Mount Vernon City Council, and the newly elected Mount Vernon Comptroller Rev. Darren Morton. Conversation will center over and unpack the newly ensconsed elected officials and the issues they must confront to move Mount Vernon to an exalted place, and the challenges that are certain to be revealed over time and because of introspection.

While hope is seemingly alive, must government create a template of productive outcome or is that simply wishful thinking. What impacts some communities to thrive, while others strive yet are stymied in their efforts. Is it always money? Does education play a role? What about unemployment and under employment? We attempt to unpack the rationale over why some elected officials engage in an adversarial demeanor as opposed to finding a road toward amelioration to beget resolution? Has America lost its ability to engage in respectful discourse?  Has anyone got an issue to that issue other than blaming almighty G_d for man’s failings. Has society tired of being hoodwinked by our elected officials or have we learned to decipher the the failings of their words and deeds. 11am-12Noon.

Mount Vernon Tribune / Yonkers Tribune Publisher / Editor Hezi Aris is your host today. From 10am-12Noon.
